I mean, we’ve already colonized every inch of this planet and started colonizing others; we’ve destroyed a whole lot of Earth’s human and biogeological resources; we’ve been through world wars, atomic bombs and continue to perpetrate holy wars; and we’ve turned the world into one giant factory with nearly eight billion desireless, melancholic workers on its assembly line.We’ve never found a way to live peacefully on Earth and annihilate human suffering entirely. We’ve never found a way to stop all wars, all diseases, all forms of discrimination, all suffering from environmental causes and all human destruction of the environment. We’ve never found a way to stop living without violence, discord, addiction, selfishness, mediocrity and emotional conflict. Why has the individual’s desire for such a complete elimination of suffering always been discouraged, dismissed as unrealistic, distracted and suppressed by nations, society and oneself? Walk with me, as we witness the interconnectedness between our emotional, political and societal crises and how we’ve been systemically perpetuating them through our political affairs and daily livelihoods. Along the way, we will stop at various issues, from careerism, to global warming, american world governance, genocide in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa, the possibility for peace in the United Nations, the propaganda of diversity, currency and humanitarian aid, the compulsive aggression of the everyday man and woman and a critical view of historical figures as Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi and Alfred Nobel.Perhaps we can find out what it takes to abolish these crises through our actions, relationships, local parliaments, UN General Assembly, schools, homes and the depths of our conscience, so that posterity may survive not only our traditional atrocities but also the present ice age and its current warming phase.
